This week was tomatoes, peppers, onions, and spaghetti squash (I can see where we’ll be taking this meal.) We also had a pie pumpkin, apples, parsley, and lemon verbena. I also bought several bags of their handmade tamales (pork, chicken and cheese) because my folks will be coming in for a visit. Tamales are labor intensive to make but so easy to simply heat up! We’ve noticed the subtle shift from summer vegetables to fall ones and that means we’re almost done with the season. Our last summer Bounty Box is next week. It’ll only be a short break though—we’ve signed up for the Winter Bounty Box again this year and it looks like we’ll be sharing with friends this time around.
