Daily Snaps

We’re heading to California for Christmas so we spent the day after Thanksgiving putting up our decorations, including the tree, so that we could enjoy them a little longer. I’m a big fan of artificial trees—that sounds odd but leaving a cut tree up in an old house while you’re out of town just strikes me as asking for problems. I also like the fact we’re not cutting down a live tree every year.

I got a new one this year, mainly because my nice, large tree wouldn’t fit anywhere in our little house. You’ll also notice that the bottom isn’t as full as a traditional tree, a nod to our new puppy. (I can’t imagine what Wyatt will do to any presents stashed under it.) Jonathan calls it our Charlie Brown Christmas Tree but I think it’s growing on him.
