While we’re waiting for the weather to warm up, the daffodils to sprout, and the estimates for our back patio to come back, I was cheered by my dad’s latest project—a Little Free Library.
My mom had seen one in another neighborhood and was excited to get her own for the front garden. He designed the shelves to fit a mix of hardbacks, paperbacks, and magazines.
Jonathan has already been sketching out one for our front yard and we’ve got enough left over paint that we can match the house. Even better, if the city turns our street into a bike boulevard, we can fill it with books on cycling and maybe even a couple of useful bike tools or spare inner tubes.
