Screened Porch

When we first moved into our bungalow, we were excited to see the screened porch attached to the garage. I imagined a mosquito-free place to sit on summer evenings.

We quickly realized we had more pressing needs for the porch. Yes, it does have a small cafe table and chairs but it also has a wood farm table that holds gardening supplies we need to keep away from the pups like fertilizer, seed packets, and the ever-popular garden gloves. We also created a hitching post of sorts along the back wall of the porch so we could line up and lock up all our bikes. And now that Jonathan has harvested our garlic, we’re using it as a drying room.

So in the morning when we pull out our bikes for work, the entire porch smells like an Italian restaurant.
