Staggered Shingles

We’re in the process of brainstorming a porch upgrade (the original posts were replaced at some point with plain 4 x 4s and we’re looking for a more traditional style.) We met with the team who replaced the cheap vinyl siding under the eaves with some nice staggered shingles. They brought along some photos they took during the process and we all had quite the time laughing about how horrible our house looked when we bought it.
