Thanksgiving 2020 was very different in some ways–we ate at small tables on the patio, the pies were set up in the screened porch, and we were all bundled up due to the chill–but the important things remained the same. It was the same tight group of friends (our Friday night movie crew) and two were even celebrating 35 years of Thanksgivings spent together in friendship. Once it started getting colder, we all at pie around the campfire.
We ended the night eating more pie on Zoom with my family in California. I don’t go home for Thanksgiving so it was lovely seeing everyone, even if it was on a computer screen. It’s been a tough year but this Thanksgiving was perfect.
