The Long Garden
We turned a 100 ft. long stretch of grass (weeds?) into a garden. Over the weekend I planted over 100 peonies, day lilies, irises, and belladonna lilies along the fence. I started the rows a little over a foot from the fence but I’m still worried about having too much early Spring shade. On the upside, it was basically three wheelbarrows full of plants my neighbor dug out of his beds and gifted me so the investment was nothing but sweat and hard work.
Update! One month later the sun has reached the Long Garden and everything is growing. I’m not sure how much will flower this year but looking forward to Spring of 2022.
