It’s been a long, cold winter but the last weekend in February is always a bright spot here in Columbia. The True/False Film Fest comes to town and brings what seems like every filmmaker, film buff, and indie band along with it.
So we take a break from projects and hunker down to view 14 films in four days (we planned for 15 but a projector problem stymied us on the final day). The hours spent in both real and ad hoc theaters is punctuated by parties, musics, meals, public art, and a parade.
Spring will eventually come and we’ll start to tackle the back yard but until then, it’s a well deserved winter break.
