When we landscaped the front lawn I decided to forgo my favorite David Austin pale pink roses and instead plant cream colored blooms that better matched the house. About a month ago though, I cleared a sunny bed along the screened in porch for a mix of pale pink roses and sage, perhaps my favorite garden combination.
I received bare root roses—just sticks, really—and had to protect them so Wyatt wouldn’t pull them out to play with. They’ve grown well and just started to bloom. It’s probably the best location for flowers in our yard and these roses are well worth it.
